Pay per call on the up - tie in to VOiP ?

Internet Daily Check out the conversion rate.

Bambi Francisco reports that : "ThinkingVoice is just one of the startups in Silicon Valley trying to help companies like Yahoo and eBay broaden their services to merchants who want to sell their products or services on the Web.
Its chief executive, D.C. Cullinane, said that advertisers will pay as much as 10 times more for a call than a click for a Web advertisement, because a call to a potential customer will more likely turn into a sale.

The conversion rates for a call are about 40 percent, according to Cullinane. This compares with a rough estimate of 2 percent for conversion rates of Web advertisements today. "

Pay per call at SES

DMNews.com

Billed as the next big thing in online advertising pay per call is ideal for capitalising on the local search market....

Compared to search ads "For every click response you receive, you get three to five calls." according to Kevin Ryan of Did-it Search Marketing.

While Michael Kerans of FindWhat.com Inc "Telephone calls are between five and 20 times more valuable than clicks, [and] conversion rates to actual sales, more than 10 times that of clicks."

Marc Barach, chief marketing officer at Ingenio said:
"When people go online to find local commercial businesses, they're ready to transact now," he said. "They're not actually in an information-gathering mode. They're in a solve-my-problem mode. The research that we have done shows that about a third of that market is ready to buy now, and somewhere about 59 percent is ready to buy in two weeks."
